The Vancouver Canucks announced a trade today, sending Andrey Pedan and a 2018 4th round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Derrick Pouliot.
The Canucks acquired Pedan from the New York Islanders in 2014, sending Alexandre Mallet and a 3rd round pick (which came back to the Canucks in the Brandon Sutter trade).
Pedan is a huge player at 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds. He is a physical, stay at home defenceman who isn’t afraid to throw his weight around. Few Canucks fans have seen Pedan because he has spent most of his time with the organization in Utica.
