Even though they dominated the Edmonton Oilers in the season opener, the Vancouver Canucks fell 3-2, falling to 0-1 for the first time in six years.
You can’t read too much into one loss, and if anything else, Vancouver’s overall play was inspiring. But at the same time, the Canucks have to look back and see what they can change ahead of Saturday’s contest against the Calgary Flames.
To me, the main thing that stood out was Adam Gaudette‘s absence. I’ve emphasized before that I think head coach Travis Green is the right man for the job.
