The Vancouver Canucks played a disappointing season. Not only did they miss the playoffs, but they also finished 28th in the league. Still, there is lots to look forward to in the off-season, including the IIHF World Championship that will feature five Canucks.
Jacob Markstrom was named to Team Sweden for the NHL’s 2016 World Cup of Hockey to back up New York Rangers star Henrik Lundqvist. At this year’s IIHF tournament, however, he will likely be the starter in net. Well deserved honours.
