The Vancouver Canucks were held in the game right to the very end by their hot goaltender, saw a new face make his Canucks’ debut, and fell even further in the playoff race. Here are my three takeaways from last night’s game.
Tanner Pearson’s Canucks debut
How could I not start off with this one? After being acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins on trade deadline day for Erik Gudbranson, Tanner Pearson suited up for the first time in a Canucks’ uniform last night.
The trade was one that got the stamp of approval from most Canucks’ fans, as Pearson has the opportunity to become a top-six forward like he was for the Los Angeles Kings, whom he scored 24 goals with just two seasons ago.
