Vancouver Canucks fans were treated to an instant classic just two nights ago when the Canucks came back to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs at home. The Canucks had a quick turnaround and headed out to Edmonton to take on the Oilers. Here are my three takeaways from last night’s game.
Team unable to pull off another comeback
Wednesday evening’s tilt with the Leafs was an extremely fast-paced and exciting game. The first period was one of the most complete first periods the Canucks have played in recent memory.
While I’m sure head coach Travis Green would like it better if his team didn’t run and gun and trade shots with Toronto for the entire period, it was super fun to watch from a fan’s perspective.
