Prior to last night’s game, the Vancouver Canucks were 25th overall in the standings. They were tied with the Arizona Coyotes in points and sat just two points back of the Colorado Avalanche, who were tied with the Chicago Blackhawks for the second and final wild-card spot.
After picking up just one point last night, the Canucks are still in 25th place overall and two points back of the Minnesota Wild for the final wild-card spot and sit in 12th place in the Western Conference. Here are my three takeaways from last night’s game.
