The Vancouver Canucks just wrapped up an exciting year, and even though they lost in their final game of the season, it was a fun game to watch. We saw a goal from Elias Pettersson, a solid start from our young goaltender, and yet another exciting overtime. Here are my three takeaways from game 82.
Goaltending won’t be a problem next year
At the start of this year, the Canucks’ two goaltenders were Anders Nilsson and Jacob Markstrom. After Nilsson struggled and wasn’t getting many wins for the team when he was called upon, the team dealt him to the Ottawa Senators — resulting in Thatcher Demko receiving a call up from the Utica Comets.
