The Utica Comets started the month of December with a 3-1 loss at home against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Luckily, it looks like more cheerful times are ahead, as the Comets got two wins and an OT loss for five points in three of their remaining pre-Christmas match ups.

Cheerful times would have to wait until after the Comets’ December 4 meeting with the St. John’s IceCaps. Utica dominated their opponent throughout the first two periods, outshooting the IceCaps 25-10, but failed to take a lead.
