CANUCKS NEWS: As far as debuts go, he certainly gave Brock Boeser’s 1st NHL game last year in Minnesota a run for it’s money. While Boeser’s first career marker was a loose puck stuffed into the net, Pettersson’s was like a literal demonstration of what he is supposed to bring to this team.
That shot, man. And he wasn’t done. He also set up Nikolay Goldobin for his first of the season with a sweet lil no look pass.
Let’s not overshadow other accomplishments last night, though. Apart from some fairly predictable hiccups, that was a well played (and surprisingly entertaining) game by the Vancouver Canucks.
