Most, if not all of these names are ones we expected to see as the Canucks sent another seven players home from the main camp as they held their first practice yesterday in Utica. Reid Boucher, Guillaume Brisebois, Jalen Chatfield, Jonathan Dahlen, Thacher Demko, Joseph LaBate, and Michael Garteig will all be there, with Garteig looking to build on a positive season last year in Alaska with the ECHL Aces.
Chatfield was impressive, especially at the Young Stars tournament in Penticton, and it’s hoped that he can continue the strides that he’s made thus far. As for Dahlen, they will be looking to ease the 19 year old Swede, who was acquired in the deal with Ottawa for Alexandre Burrows, into the complexities of the North American game.
