We can sit here and complain about things, and some of them would be valid. There's been a couple goals that shouldn't have counted in this series thanks to blown calls. The Flames, most notably Michael Ferland, have been canonized by the Church of HNIC for getting away with bloody murder against the Canucks (the more things change, right?). And the coaching staff seemed to be guilty of one of the unforgivable sins that Alain Vigneault committed in his time here.
Yeah, that's right. In a time where people aren't just pining for a return of the giggling gum chewer, but wishing non-ironically that the Canucks still had John Tortorella behind the bench, I say that Willie Desjardins and the Canucks are in this mess for the same reason the Canucks struggled the previous two playoff series they were in: waiting far too long to make adjustments.
