Linden Vey intent on sticking with healthy Canucks

Linden Vey seems to be beating the odds.

Henrik Sedin is back from injury and so is fellow centre Brandon Sutter. And Vey is still with the Vancouver Canucks.

If he has more games like the one he played Thursday, Vey could be here quite a while longer.

“I thought that was probably the best game I’ve seen him play in a Canucks uniform (Thursday night),” Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins said Friday of Vey. “I thought he made lots of good, little plays that didn’t turn into goals, but were good plays.”

Vey scored Vancouver’s lone goal, a power-play marker, in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and was named the game’s first star.
