Things just got more interesting for the Vancouver Canucks. Peyton Krebs, the center from Calgary, Alberta, who put up 68 points in 64 WHL games with the Kootenay Ice this past season, has suffered an Achilles injury during his offseason training. Krebs got surgery for the injury yesterday.
Why does this matter for the Canucks? Well, Krebs was slated by many to be selected anywhere from the fifth overall to ninth overall range, but with the injury, Krebs may be there for the taking when the Canucks take to the stage to select at tenth overall on June 21st.
