BOSTON — He is not the greatest goal-scorer the Vancouver Canucks have had, but became Thursday the leading goal-scorer in franchise history. And that, too, tells you how special Daniel Sedin really is.
The 35-year-old winger, talked into staying in the National Hockey League a long time ago by Markus Naslund and others, broke Naslund's Canuck record of 346 goals with a rebound chip-in at 7:03 of the third period. Sedin broke a tie and also the Boston Bruins, adding an empty-netter in the final minute to complete a 4-2 victory by the Canucks.
