Vancouver, B.C. - The National Hockey League announced today that Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin was awarded the 2015.16 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, given annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities both on and off the ice and has made a significant humanitarian contribution in his community. Sedin is the second player in franchise history to win the award, following Trevor Linden in the 1996.97 season.
“Henrik is a consummate leader and mentor for his teammates who embodies the principles of honesty, integrity and discipline,” said Canucks President of Hockey Operations Trevor Linden.
