VANCOUVER — It has been quite some time since we were able to put the words winning streak and the Vancouver Canucks together.
The Canucks have not posted consecutive victories in more than a month. They hope to finally change that tonight when they meet the New York Rangers at Rogers Arena (7 p.m. Pacific time, on Sportsnet, TSN 1040).
Vancouver is coming off a 5-2 win Monday over the Buffalo Sabres and the players recognize the need to get some momentum going.
"I think it is very important," defenceman Chris Tanev said after this morning's game-day skate.
