First of all, as anticipated, the Vancouver Canucks have officially announced the contract extension of general manager Jim Benning. As rumoured, it is a three year extension, meaning Benning will be under contract for four more seasons.
In his letter to fans and season ticket holders, Aquilini touched on the thought process of extending Benning and most importantly, how excited he is to watch this team compete come October. Aquilini is clearly pleased at the team he has seen compete under the management of Jim Benning and Canucks head coach Travis Green. And really, how could he not be?
