Four Canucks selected for 2016 World Cup

Vancouver, B.C. – The National Hockey League announced today that four Vancouver Canucks players have been selected to represent their respective countries at the 2016 World Cup in Toronto including Daniel Sedin (Team Sweden), Henrik Sedin (Team Sweden), Jacob Markstrom (Team Sweden), and Jannik Hansen (Team Europe).

Daniel Sedin, 35, has represented his country on the international stage in a number of tournaments including the Winter Olympic Games in 2014 (silver), 2010, and 2006 (gold), the IIHF World Championship in 2013 (gold), 2005, 2001 (bronze), 2000, and 1999 (bronze), and the IIHF World Junior Championship in 2000, 1999, and 1998.
