Emerson Etem's Vancouver Canucks career came to an end this morning. He was claimed by the team that drafted him in the 2010 first round, the Anaheim Ducks.
Etem was acquired by the Canucks in January in a trade that sent Nicklas Jensen and a sixth-round draft pick to the New York Rangers. He produced decently down the stretch and earned a one-year, $775,000 deal. But he was outplayed in training camp and left off the Canucks roster in favor of Jack Skille and Brendan Gaunce.
