Prior to puck drop Saturday night before Christmas, the Vancouver Canucks sit three points back of the Calgary Flames with a game in hand for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.
With two games remaining before the holiday freeze, the Canucks welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins on Hockey Night in Canada and then they close out with a battle versus the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 23. Two victories at home would go a long way in the standings.
