The Vancouver Canucks are dipping back into the pool Calgary Flames prospects who couldn’t quite crack the big club. Today they announced the signing of Drew Shore for the rest of the season. He’ll join the Canucks, assuming he clears reentry waivers. Since he was not on Vancouver’s reserve list, he has to clear waivers before joining the team.
Shore was a second round draft pick of the Florida Panthers in 2009. The Calgary Flames acquired him in January 2015 for Corbin Knight, per Hockey-Reference.com.Shore last played in North America in 2015-16, putting up 10 goals and 28 assists for the AHL Stockton Heat.
