The Vancouver Canucks shook up their defence in a pair of moves during trade deadline day.
Let’s touch on the player that the Canucks acquired first. After making one deal with the Blackhawks in the Adam Gaudette, Matthew Highmore swap, the Canucks made another trade with the Blackhawks by acquiring defenceman Madison Bowey and a 2021 fifth-round draft pick for a 2021 fourth-round draft pick.
Bowey, a second-round pick in 2013 by the Washington Capitals, has appeared in 156 NHL games for the Caps, the Red Wings, and the Blackhawks.
He was signed by Chicago for a two-year deal with $725,000 per season on January 28th, and he appeared in two games for the Blackhawks this season.
