The Canucks have a bit of a reputation of ignoring things that happen in their own back yard, rarely drafting WHL prospects from the Vancouver Giants, or any of the BC based squads. They’ve bucked that trend with their final pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, though it’s somewhat amusing he’s yet to play a game in the WHL.
Import pick D Viktor Persson has been drafted in the 7th round, 191st overall by the @Canucks!
Congrats Vik!
