The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Sven Baertschi from the AHL’s Utica Comets, according to Rick Dhaliwal of TSN 1040.
Dhaliwal added that Baertschi may not play tonight because of a flight delay, while Micheal Ferland is heading back to Vancouver to have an injury examined. He left Monday’s tilt against the Los Angeles Kings, which head coach Travis Green claimed was an upper body injury.
The 27-year-old Baertschi is tied with Nikolay Goldobin for second in Comets scoring with 10 points. Baertschi hasn’t played a game for the Canucks yet this season, having been assigned to Utica after going unclaimed through waivers.
