VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks apparently liked enough of what they saw in Ronalds Kenins that they’ll be bringing the rugged winger back for another season.
The Canucks announced Monday they have re-signed the Latvian forward as well as Utica Comets centre Alex Friesen.
Kenins, 24, split the 2014-15 season between the Canucks and Comets. He played in 30 NHL games in his rookie season, picking up 12 points (4-8-12) and eight penalty minutes. Kenins suited up for five playoff games, registering two points (1-1-2). In 36 games with Utica, Kenins had 12 points (5-7-12) and 23 penalty minutes.
