Like a receding tide, the Stanley Cup playoffs don’t make much noise as they disappear from view. But it looks a lot like this homestand for the Vancouver Canucks.
After surviving 2 ½ months of injuries and road games for the chance to build a playoff drive on home ice, the perfectly healthy Canucks lost their third straight at Rogers Arena, 4-1 tonight to the Calgary Flames.
Including the road game they threw away in Pittsburgh before last weekend’s National Hockey League All-Star Break, the Canucks are on an 0-3-1 nosedive at the most critical point of their season.
