VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks are making history tonight against the St. Louis Blues. It's just a matter of how much.
With Abbotsford winger Jake Virtanen making his National Hockey League home debut, joining 19-year-old centre Jared McCann in the lineup, the Canucks will dress two teenagers for the first time since Trevor Linden was a rookie in 1988-89 and Rob Murphy played eight games that season.
More importantly, the Canucks, 3-0-1 through four games, can establish the best five-game start in franchise history by beating the Blues. St. Louis is 3-1 and coming off a 4-2 win Thursday in Edmonton, but the Blues have lost six straight games to the Canucks over the last two seasons.
