Canucks fire blanks, lose 4-0 to Sharks

The Vancouver Canucks are apparently saving their goals for the regular season.

The Canucks have played six periods of pre-season hockey and still haven’t scored a goal in regulation time.

Tuesday night at Rogers Arena, they fell 4-0 to the San Jose Sharks, the team they beat 1-0 on Monday night with a 3-on-3 overtime goal by Adam Cracknell.

The Canucks also could not score in the special 3-on-3 overtime period that followed the third period. That five-minute session was scoreless. Mercifully, there was no shootout.

The Canucks iced an almost entirely different lineup than the one that beat the Sharks in Colwood.
