DALLAS — What the Vancouver Canucks seem to need is a good late-inning reliever.
For the fourth time in 10 games, the Canucks could not hold onto a third-period lead and lost, falling 4-3 in overtime Thursday night to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.
Jamie Benn scored the winner at 3:28 of overtime as the Stars battled back from a 3-1 third-period deficit to beat the Canucks for the eighth straight game.
Alex Burrows, on a penalty shot, Alex Edler and Radim Vrbata scored for the Canucks, who fell to 4-2-4 this season.
The game started on time, but the Canucks showed up late.
