Canucks forward Alex Burrows was taken to the hospital Tuesday after morning skate for Vancouver in advance of its evening Game 4 match up against Calgary. The team tweeted that it was for “precautionary” reasons and for an “upper body” injury. Burrows has been ruled out for Game 4. No further details were available.
The scene appeared rather frightening per reporters at the Scotiabank Saddledome. According to Sportsnet’s Mark Spector, Burrows said “help” as he walked to the Canucks dressing room. There was also apparently a stretcher that was brought to the locker room and Burrows left the Saddledome on said stretcher per Spector’s tweet.
