The Vancouver Canucks are not looking to fill a positional need at this year’s draft. They have made it clear numerous times that they intend to take the best player available when they take the stage to select in round number one of the 2019 NHL Draft.
That being said, if they believe a defencemen is indeed the best player available, the team could have their sights set on Swedish d-man Philip Broberg. Him, Victor Soderstrom, Ville Heinola, and Thomas Harley are the likely candidates to go after Bowen Byram is selected, likely in the top five.
