With a month of training under their belt, the Valparaiso University softball team competed against Purdue Northwest (PNW) on Sept. 25.
The runs scored and the at-bat's won at the plate in the second scrimmage game showed signs to new head coach Amanda Eberhart that the progress being made is already helping the team.
“It was fun for them to kind of look at me with that excitement in their eyes, ‘Oh my gosh, I did it’, ‘You were right, we can do this,’” Eberhart said.
During the pair of games, the score was not kept and did not count.
