Emory G. Bauer Field, home of the Valparaiso University baseball team, is on its way to a significant renovation. A key reason for the updates is the age of the field. Some elements, like the stands, are products of original construction from the field’s opening in 1970.
In 2018, the team joined the Missouri Valley Conference, further emphasizing the need to update technology in order to be competitive amongst the other teams.
The field is in need of general improvements that will modernize and improve the park’s atmosphere, including updating the fence, scoreboard, stands, parking lot and visitor’s dugouts.
