MIAMI -- Keaton Wallace went for a season-high 33 points – his fifth career game with 30 or more points – leading UTSA men's basketball to an 87-80 win at FIU, on Friday night at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
UTSA (9-9, 5-6 Conference USA) outlasted FIU (9-11, 2-9 C-USA) behind the scoring output of Wallace, who had 33 points on 12 of 19 shooting, including 4 of 7 from the 3-point line, while going 5 of 5 from the free-throw line. He added seven rebounds and two steals in the win.
It marked Wallace's first 30+ point game of the year and the fifth of his career, as the senior guard had three 30+ point outings as a sophomore and one as a junior.
