SAN ANTONIO — First-year UTSA coach Frank Wilson said Wednesday’s practice was “the best we’ve had” since he opened spring drills nine days ago.
In most of the practices early in the camp, the coach praised the defense.
But as UTSA worked in cool and rainy conditions Wednesday morning, the coach said the offense had its best day.
Wilson said both units showed leadership.
“You try to breed leadership,” the coach said. “You look for leadership to come forth. There were times in the first few practices that we waited for it to emerge, then it didn’t necessarily reveal its head.
