SAN ANTONIO — Distance runner Dusan Makevic won his second individual title in two days Thursday at the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Makevic claimed the championship in the 3,000 meters, edging Endalow Takele of Western Kentucky by almost two seconds.
The meet is taking place at the Birmingham, Alabama.
It was the third race in two days for Makevic. The senior won the 5,000 on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, he placed fifth in the mile.
Then he came back in the afternoon to cover the distance in the 3,000 in 8 minutes and 16.
