UTSA Invitational suspended on Friday evening

SAN ANTONIO — Due to the threat of severe weather forecasted to arrive in the Alamo City on Friday evening, competition has been suspended at this weekend's UTSA Invitational, which is taking place at the Park West Athletics Complex.

The men's discus, 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5k now will take place on Saturday morning (a revised schedule of events is below).

Wichita State leads the women's standings through the first three scored events (hammer/javelin/discus), while Kansas State is on top of the men's leaderboard through two scored events (javelin/hammer).

Angel Sifuentes highighted the opening day of action for UTSA, as she placed third in the women's javelin and extended her program record with a throw of 147-2 (44.
