UTSA hires director of player personnel in football

SAN ANTONIO — Jacob LaFrance has been hired as director of player personnel for the UTSA football program, coach Frank Wilson announced Thursday.

LaFrance’s primary responsibilities will be prospect evaluation, organizing recruiting events and creating and managing recruiting materials.

He will also maintain the recruiting database, update the recruiting board, assist the coaching staff with roster management and work with the NFL liaison on visits and research.

LaFrance comes to San Antonio from Maryland, where he was a recruiting analyst for the football program for two seasons.

During his tenure with the Terrapins, he oversaw day-to-day recruiting operations, built and managed the recruiting database, organized on-campus recruiting events and facilitated the evaluation process.
