SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team fell to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 2-1 Sunday afternoon on the final day of the UTSA Classic.
The Islanders were on the board early with a run in the first.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi added another run in the third to lead 2-0.
In the bottom of the fifth, Riley Grunberg hit a solo home run to center field to put UTSA on the board and trail.
The Roadrunners recorded four hits on the day and earned three walks.
Alexa Williams had her first career start, pitching 4.
