AUSTIN — UTSA dropped its first midweek contest of the season in an 11-2 decision at Texas on Tuesday night.
The Longhorns (9-12) went with a staff day, as seven pitchers saw action, including third baseman Kasey Clemens. However, reliever Nolan Kingham got the win following two innings of work.
Meanwhile, Andre Shewcraft was charged with the loss in two-thirds of an inning. Shewcraft gave up two runs on two hits with a pair of walks.
Trent Bowles picked up his third multiple-hit game of the year after going 2-for-3 with a triple and he scored the Roadrunners' only two runs.
