SAN ANTONIO — Hunter Bott and Michael Rome shared individual medalist honors to lead the UTSA men's golf team to the Lone Star Invitational team title on Tuesday at TPC San Antonio Oaks Course (par 72/7,435 yards).
The Roadrunners entered the final round with a 15-shot advantage and cruised to a 12-stroke victory in the team race ahead of New Mexico State. UTSA carded rounds of 293, 280 and 295 to finish at 4-over-par 868, comfortably ahead of the Aggies (880) in the 13-team field. Louisiana (885), Texas State (889) and Lamar (891) rounded out the top five in the team standings.
