SAN ANTONIO — UTSA sophomore Kendall Burton wasn’t the least bit interested in playing the ‘what if’ game Wednesday night.
Such as, what ‘what if’ her line drive into the gap had fallen in for an extra-base hit in the third inning against Texas?
“You know, I feel like, this season, I’ve gotten robbed by so many people, I keep telling myself that I can’t think that way,” Burton said, after Texas escaped with a 3-2 victory over UTSA in a college softball thriller at Roadrunner Field.
In a rare appearance by the Longhorns in San Antonio, UT (25-9) defeated UTSA (13-23) and probably left town feeling fortunate to get out of town with the win.
