HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss hit four home runs, including three two-run shots, en route to 13-2, eight-inning victory against UTSA on Saturday at Pete Taylor Park.
The Roadrunners (10-13, 1-5 C-USA) scored their only two runs of the game in the first and second innings.
Tyler Straub scored the first run for the Roadrunners on an RBI single off the bat Mason George. In the next frame, C.J. Pickering blasted a homer, his first official one of the season, over the wall in left center. Pickering homered at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, but the shot was taken back due to a weather-shortened game.
