HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The UTSA women's basketball team fell to Southern Miss 88-64 Friday evening at Reed Green Coliseum.
Southern Miss opened the game with a 13-0 run to take an early lead. Karrington Donald broke the scoring drought at the 3:36 mark. The Lady Eagles hit another run (8-0) to push the lead. In the final minute, the Roadrunners scored two points as Southern Miss recorded five to lead 26-4 at the end of the quarter.
In the second, UTSA hit a 10-4 to close the gap to 16, 30-14. Both teams continued to find the basket at the Roadrunners posted a 7-2 run over a minute span as they trailed 36-23.
