Roadrunners to start home stand with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will open a six-game home stand with a 2 p.m. matchup against former Southland Conference foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at the Convocation Center.

The Roadrunners (1-8) opened the campaign with the second-longest road stretch in program history, as they played eight of their first nine contests away from home. Saturday’s contest will mark the 1,000th in program history for UTSA, which is led by Ryan Bowie’s 18.3 points (2nd C-USA) and seven rebounds (10th C-USA) per outing.

Meanwhile, the Islanders (6-2) were picked to finish third in the Southland this season and the squad is riding a five-game winning streak.
