SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will make the trek up I-35 and take on former Southland Conference rival Texas State in a midweek affair Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
Tuesday’s matchup against Texas State will be the second of the season with the final meeting of 2016 coming in early May. Back when UTSA played Texas State in mid March, the Roadrunners walked away with a 14-7 victory. A seven-run fifth inning catapulted UTSA to victory.
UTSA (11-16) makes the road trip off a conference weekend series loss to FIU. Aaron Burns and Andre Shewcraft combined for a 6-0 shutout of the Panthers for the only win of the series.
