LAFAYETTE, La. — Sean Meehan is tied for seventh place and the UTSA men’s golf team is in fourth after the first two rounds of the Louisiana Classics, which got underway on Monday at Oakbourne Country Club (par 72/6,898 yards).
Keyed by a season-best round of 7-under-par 281 to start the 54-hole tournament, the Roadrunners are at 3-under 573, 10 shots behind No. 45 Kansas, 14 back of No. 33 Texas A&M and 15 shy of top-ranked and defending champion Illinois.
UTSA is two shots ahead of Kent State and Southeastern Louisiana (575) and four in front of UT Arlington (577).
