SAN ANTONIO — Behind a trio of top-10 individual finishes, the UTSA women's golf team placed second at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, which wrapped up on a windy Wednesday at San Antonio Country Club (par 72/6,131 yards).
Camryn Carreon finished in sole possession of fifth place, Ana Gonzalez tied for sixth and Hannah Holzmann ended up with a share of eighth to help the Roadrunners take runner-up honors at their annual home tournament.
UTSA posted a 900 (293-302-305) for second behind No. 32 Texas Tech, which claimed the team title with an 888 behind individual medalist and 15th-ranked Sofia Garcia, who fired a 5-under-par 211 (72-70-69).
