SAN ANTONIO — Hunter Bott and Michael Rome are tied for the individual lead and the UTSA men's golf team has opened up a 15-shot lead after the first two rounds of the Lone Star Invitational, which teed Monday at TPC San Antonio Oaks Course (par 72/7,435 yards).
The Roadrunners, who moved up to 34th in this week's Golfweek collegiate team rankings, are sitting at 12-under-par through 36 holes after posting rounds of 293 and 280. UTSA is 15 strokes in front of New Mexico State (+12) and 17 ahead of Lamar (+14) in the 13-team field with 18 holes left to play on Tuesday.
