NATCHITOCHES, La. — UTSA ended its four-match losing streak with a 5-2 victory at Northwestern State on Friday.
After dropping the first doubles contest of the day, the Roadrunners (4-5) bounced back with wins at the Nos. 1 and 3 spots in the lineup to take an early 1-0 lead.
Lina Hallgren Charlene Tiwari blanked Barbora Kollarova and Alzbeta Veverkova on court three to improve to a team-best 7-1 on the season and Jacobea Junger and Miriam Rosell Canudas held off Natalya Krutova and Iryna Vardanian on center court by a score of 7-6 to clinch the opening point.
